Our Mission
The Seeing Place (Formerly Legacy Theater Company) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community theater located in Jacksonville, NC. At The Seeing Place, our mission is to foster community through education, music, and theater.
We aim to illuminate the truth about our lives and ourselves, while also serving as a ministry to uplift and inspire individuals. Through high-quality productions, classes, and workshops, we aim to foster community, encourage personal growth, and find meaning through the stories we tell.
The Seeing Place is a welcoming community whose vision is to offer our community, audiences, actors, and volunteers:

A place to experience the love of Jesus while using our gifts to better the lives of others.
A place to come and rest when life gets too stressful and noisy.
Healing broken hearts & broken lives.
Inviting our volunteers to a place where they can see themselves, others, and the social situation through theater and the stories we tell.
An opportunity to give artists a place to share their gifts for the betterment of others.
Arts education throughout the community for both children, teens, and adults.
